From January to October, the revenue of 19 national specialized and special new enterprises in Xinwu District increased by 33% year on year, and their profits increased by 40% year on year. On average, they have 125 patents, including 67 invention patents. Specializing in special and new enterprises has driven private enterprises above designated size to grow by 24% year on year and realized a 16% year-on-year profit growth, providing strong support for accelerating the construction of a high-quality demonstration zone to implement the new development concept.
Xinwu District is an important economic growth pole, opening up window, scientific and technological innovation base and transformation and development engine of Wuxi City. It has formed pillar industrial clusters and modern industrial systems such as microelectronics, new energy, high-end equipment manufacturing and key parts, the Internet of Things, new materials and new displays, and life science and technology. It undertakes two national strategies, namely, the National Sensor Network Innovation Demonstration Area and the National Independent Innovation Demonstration Area in Southern Jiangsu.
